You are bidding on a rare original artwork transparency from the film V.I Warshawski (1991). The transparency is original from the film's first release and comes from our personnal collection. It measures approx. 25.00 x 20.00 cm. (approx. 10.00 x 8.00 in.) and is in Near Mint condition.
This transparency is made of photographic film. It is like a large slide (25 x 20 cm.), without a border. This type of material is called 'reversal film' and can produce either small slides (5x5 cm.), but also larger ones like this one.
When a film was scheduled to be released, this type of artwork transparency would be sent to the film company's press office. It could be then used to produce posters, or to be printed as a magazine cover etc. Due to the fact that often it would have over-imposed logos (f.e. the title of the film in a foreign language or a title/contents list of a magazine if it was to be the cover), it often did not have all the elements of the original poster nor the original title logo.
Shipping (registered) is $15.00 worldwide.
PLEASE READ THIS!
In the last few months, things, as you know, have changed dramatically due to the pandemic. Global transportations, logistics and mail processing and delivery have taken a turn for the worse. What was considered ‘normal’ as a waiting time period simply does not exist anymore.
So, with this in mind here is what to expect:
-if you live inside Europe, I can tell you that a normal waiting period is 2 weeks, maybe a bit more. I have had packages delivered within five days, but others took more time.
-if you live in Japan, US and Canada, the waiting period should be about 3 weeks.
-if there is more delay, than what I mentioned above, I will work with you in any way that I can from my end to help get through any problems, so that your order reaches you safe and sound. If there is a claim we need to make to the Postal Service, it is I who can do it (even if the package has already reached the US, the USPS won’t accept a claim made by the addressee). In most cases this means that I have to pay 5.00 Euros ($6.00) to open the case, which is something I can live with if it helps you get your order. But this can be done ONLY IF you have not received your order after 2 months, or if the package appears to NOT be moving 6 weeks after it was posted.
-I will ship your order within 2-4 working days after receiving your payment.
-I will always send your package Registered (signed-for delivery, with tracking number) and provide the tracking number as soon as it’s on its way.
-I will always do my best to honor my end of our transaction.
But, you also need to know the following:
-I don’t run the postal service, so I am not responsible for their delays.
-I don’t appreciate abusive messages.
While (being both a collector and a seller for decades) I understand the frustration caused to the buyer by a delayed package, I cannot understand antisocial behavior nor abusive people trying to extort refunds from sellers (via the possibility of negative feedback).
-If you show kindness and honesty, I will always try to help out and communicate. If, though,
a person is not honest, if a person does not have manners, if he is abusive, then he won’t be taken seriously. In that case, please refrain from buying from me or from bidding on my auctions. I don’t need that kind of business or transaction.
So, if – in these troubled times – you can find it in your heart to be patient and kind while waiting for your order, then please feel free to bid on my auctions.
It will be my honor to assist you in any way that I can.
