Presented is a wonderful quality porcelain figurine of a lady sitting at an<br>embroidery table (or similar), dating to the early to mid 1800s. This piece is<br>likely of French make, though it could also be English or otherwise European.<br>The woman is depicted in a bonnet tied on with ribbon, seated on a flowery<br>knoll. The figurine is very well done, and the woman, her clothing, and the<br>chair and table are all wonderfully detailed and hand painted in vivid colors,<br>with plentiful gilt detailing.<br>This piece is signed on the bottom of the back side with a pseudomark in red,<br>one that looks like the Crown Derby mark but with the initials LME around the<br>crossed batons.<br>This piece is in great overall condition. The table is missing five of the<br>little 'hooks' or knobs extending from the legs/side, but this is not easy to<br>notice. A few very minor losses to the petals on the flowers, almost<br>unnoticeable unless you are inspecting very carefully.
